As we attend parties this holiday, let’s be mindful about what we drink. Little sips can add up fast!
Alcohol contributes calories to our diet AND decreases our judgment … causing us to eat more.
My advice: If you are going to drink alcohol, opt for a lower calorie option such as light beer or wine.
Drink a glass of water after you drink an alcoholic beverage to reduce your overall intake.
And remember – as you look at the calorie counts for typically-sized beverage servings below – that 3500 calories = 1 pound of weight gained. Eggnog alone could do it by New Year’s!

Man, eggnog is crazy though! 350 calories per serving? Yikes!
